Hello, welcome and thanks for being here!
I’m a Latinx, multidisciplinary, and bilingual UX/UI Designer & Researcher with a background of 10 + years of experience in architecture, sustainable design, and community development with an equity lens.
I blend aesthetics, functionality, and human centered design principles to craft experiences that are not only ethical, inclusive and accessible, but also emotionally intelligent and able to drive meaningful impact.
Deep inquiry, collaboration, and impact
I’m fueled by the magic of collaboration, storytelling, and the potential for social impact. I’m committed to human and life-centered design that empowers communities and contributes to an ethical world. I love to facilitate deep inquiry in user research, clear information architecture, engaging content and sophisticated UI. I’m excited to continue to learn, grow, and evolve my craft—everyday.
Interdisciplinary work that sparks joy
Drawing inspiration from nature, I have driven interdisciplinary work as an architect and Urban Designer, exploring design across diverse scales. I have partnered with cross-functional teams to design organic landscapes that harmonize people with nature at EDAW (now AECOM), championed affordable and inclusive architecture at VMWP, planned sustainable communities at Calthorpe Associates (now HDR), and managed the design process for homes & developments that that foster a sense of belonging at Hunt Hale Jones Architects. I have also consulted with companies and private clients, leveraging my expertise to optimize spatial flow and infuse emotional and spiritual dimensions into their spaces.
Growth mindset and Indigenous roots
I have lived in Rome, Shanghai, and Paris, constantly seeking new experiences for personal and professional growth.
Originally from Peru, I am reclaiming my Indigenous roots by learning Quechua. In my free time, I practice Qiqong, paint, spend time in nature, write and enjoy quality time with family. Currently reading How Artifacts Afford and Decolonizing Research Methodologies.
